******* ********* ******** cancelled my credit card (ending ****) without notice. I had a pending transaction in June 2023, the card was being used. I was not issued a new card despite the card expiring in December 2023. I would like the card to be reactivated, it was opened in 2013 and impact my credit if cancelled.

The customer service agent I spoke with initially, advised I call the customer service line to close the account after making full payment on the card.

I made a full awhile back in february and last payment of $406.92 on the card for a February 25th, 2023 transaction.

ISSUE: To my amazement and shock, the customer service agent I spoke with today refused the closure of the account and asked that I wait to receive a bank statement owing to an instalmental plan activated on the account which I never consented to and must have been done by the cashier.

Why should I be made to wait anytime I propose closure of the account especially when all amounts on the card has been fully paid?

Why do walmart cashiers have the habit of hitting the yes button for instalmental plan payment?

The business has failed to resolve the issue and instead want to continue having me pay monies I do not owe. Walmart has frustrated the operation of this account and I just want it closed immediately. Why should the business demand a $9.40 instalmental payment charge which the agent said would be waived, I just demand the account be closed immediately as I can't put up with this practice anymore.

(The agent also mentioned that you would be subject to payment of INTEREST as they charged me in February despite paying the minimum amount required which is contrary to how credit cards work).

This is an unfair practice and a burden customers shouldn't be subjected to.

We’re sorry for our customer’s experience. We’ve made three
attempts to reach her and have left voicemails with a number to call us back. If
the customer would like to close her account, a customer service representative
will be happy to assist. The Installment Plan she signed up for while transacting
at Walmart has since been cancelled. We look forward to speaking with ****** ***** and helping her with her account.
