I deposited money with this bank because of the attractive interest rates and now they are not letting me withdraw the last $296 of it claiming that they cannot confirm my identity.
The money was transferred from an *** account and I just want it returned to that account.

My parents had been with an Equitable Bank for quite a few years now my dad passed away in April 2022, and my mom continued to pay the mortgage until she was unable to. She started looking into a reverse mortgage which we had updated equitable bank on yet they still started foreclosure proceedings one week before their anticipated payout. Their lack of compassion for a widowed senior has left the family very frustrated as their forcloser proceedings has cost the family lots of more money than there is available. The death of my father was very unexpected and very hard on our family having almost lost our home of over 25 years equitable, had no remorse or compassion in helping through the process or giving us a couple of months time to get a reverse mortgage to pay out their balance owing. I do not recommend this bank at all. Their interest rates jumped from 4% to nearly 9% a 5K mortgage jumped to 9K. Making it nearly impossible to make the monthly payment. We scramble to try and sell, but chose to proceed with a reverse mortgage instead until the market gets better. I said we continue to update this bank, yet they still proceeded to foreclose without any warning or any email or phone call saying that they were going to start the proceedings one week before their payout.

I bought a prepaid **** from this company. The minute I got home with it, I registered the card. I called the company right away because I was trying to pay a bill and the card got hacked right away. I put in a complaint in February and I still haven’t gotten my money back. The card was used in London, England and I live in Canada. I spoke to the company four or five times. They keep saying it’s been sent to my address, I told them the last time I called to send it by courier. I hope I get it this time because it’s a rather large amount. This company will definitely get another from me soon if it doesn’t get resolved.

I had 2 accounts with EQ Bank online. On Jan.3/23 my accounts were infiltrated and the funds were stolen via 7 separate transactions. I did not get a viewable notice of the account entries. I later discovered the entry confirmations in my email trash. There was no warning or suspicious activity email. The banks investigators were able to only recover $1050US so my net losses were about $12500. I have spoken to the fraud investigator and customer services 3 times and have received aa response of them taking no responsibility for the account breach and no reimbursement for the unrecovered funds. The bank does have an online declaration that customers will be reimbursed 100% for losses due to fraudulent activity- more like 0%. I have emailed the customer complaints department but have not received a response yet. I cannot say the case is finished but so far no help on their part. I expect more from a financial institution.
