Hi I purchased tickets from a site that was geared and promoted towards kids on my 7 year old daughters ********* . It was an event that was promoting an upcoming ****** experience event . They said info will come out shortly . Well on July 3rd I received a text stating the event is now available to purchase . ** ******** *** ***** ******* *** ********* ** ** **** *** ***. After purchasing she showed me the phone and purchase after confirmation I went back to look at the page and in fine writing at the bottom says 19plus event . Immediately I contacted the merchant and of course I got a message stating will take 24-48 hours to respond . After explaining my situations 17 times they merchant refused to refund me stating they have a policy however with my specific issue I am welcome to contact the event organizer as well as the merchant will reach out to them explaining the situation . I have yet to receive a response and I can’t even find the business on BBB. Please help me get back my $165

    Business Response

    Dear BBB,

We can confirm that we received an email from the customer mentioned in your correspondence, and that they have received correspondence replying to their request.

The customers' first email was sent to us on 3/07/2025, the customer requested refund as they explained their daughter had used their phone to purchase tickets for the ****** Boat Party event as detailed here - **************************************************************************

One of our advisors responded to the email on 08/07/2025, explaining that all purchases are non-refundable and that all of the relevant information was and had been stated on the ticket link that clearly states this was an over 19s event. We understand this can be can be frustrating and so the customer was offered a transfer to another event they found more suitable. As all of the event promoted by us include venues with alcohol, we specifically restrict all events to over 19s in accordance to regional regulations and advise provided by the host venues, in the case the serving boat company. We refute the claim that the adverts targeted children as all social media adverts are target an adult demographic that is suitable for the events being promoted in the region. It is impossible for us to prevent children accessing content on their parents devices.

In relation this event, we have been informed that this cruise in particular will be postponed until later in the year, and so this show has been cancelled and all customers have been contacted with the offer of a refund or ticket exchange according to the terms and conditions they agreed to at the point of purchase. All customers were notified of this action on Wednesday 13th August.

We hope this helps bring the case to resolution and we will be happy to assist further, should you require any additional information.

    Kind Regards
