    I live in Nova Scotia. I applied to be a vendor as an artist at the ******* *** **** **** which takes place April 18-21 2024. The convention is run by Informa.

    I applied at the start of May 2023 and paid upfront over 400$ for the vendor space. Paying for the space upfront is required, and does not guarantee acceptance. They review all applications and you must be accepted to attend.

    Informa did not email me anything until 3 weeks before the event, on March 26th 2024. It had been over 10 months by then and I had assumed I was not accepted. They said that I had been accepted on March 26th.

    I'd assumed I had been rejected because I know many other vendors got their acceptance emails long ago, and it had been 10 months and by now the event was only weeks away.

    I told them within 24 hours that due to the short notice, I couldn't attend. They cancelled my application. I asked when I would receive a refund for the table, and they said they do not refund for tables if they accept you.

    Thank you for your patience in response time. This customer was refunded in full on April 29, 2024. I have ******** the
    signed contract and terms and conditions wherein it states that once an
    acceptance letter is sent out all paid fees are non-refundable and
    non-transferable. We understand that the client is not local and due to the
    proximity of the event, we made an exception for this time only. The non-refund
    policy is in place as for an exhibitor to make a decision to come to an event
    or not it takes time for preparation for the event so if someone cancels close
    to event dates we are not able to fill their space and it will cost the event
    on additional programming to fill the empty space in show floor.
