    I purchased several products through ***************** on July 20. My father passed away in March with no will. As next of kin I've been tasked with the nightmare of proving proof of that to creditors and CRA. I used this service to do a legal will search, public notice to creditors, and receive an affidavit as proof that these steps are complete. I can't close any of his accounts until I have proof. I have a receipt and certificate of will search that was provided electronically immediately after paying, but I haven't received the affidavit that was to be mailed within 10 business days of the purchase. I emailed the company several days ago and have not received a response so I followed up by phone today. The number listed on the ****** ******* website is not in service so I searched for the Dye & Durham phone number. After 10 minutes on hold waiting to speak to someone, I explained that I hadn't received the affidavit and asked if there was an alternative to mail or ****** **** since the mail didn't reach me the first time and allegedly wasn't returned to them. I was told mail is the only option and I was asked to repeat my address slowly. after doing so, the person thanked me, told me their receptionist would put the affidavit in the mail and then they hung up on me before I could ask any further questions. I called back and waited on hold again for another 10 minutes before being forwarded to an answering machine. This isn't the way I would treat someone who is grieving and having a hard time navigating these services and the general end-of-life processes for someone without a will.
