    ********** Brake Inspection – Quoted $686.69 for Unnecessary Repair
    I visited Canadian Tire to have my brakes inspected. The technician told me that my brakes were unsafe and would not pass a safety inspection, and quoted me over $680 to replace them (brakes and rotors). They said the breaks were under 3mm.
    Thankfully, I decided to get a second opinion. * **** *** *** ** ******* ********* ********* *** ********** ********* *** ****** *** ********* **** **** *** ********** **** *** do not need to be replaced - roughly 7mm. ** ****** **** ****** *** ** ******* **** ************ 
    I believe this was ****** a case of misdiagnosis ** ** ******* ** ********** ********* ** ************ *** ********* ** *** ******. If I hadn’t sought a second opinion, I would have spent hundreds of dollars on unnecessary repairs ***** ** ***** ****** ******** * *** *** ** ***** ***** ******* ** *********** ** ******* ********* **** ********** ****** ******* ********* ***** ************ *** ***** ** **** ******** **** ********* *** ********** **** ********* ** **** **** *********** *** ** ******* ***** ********* **** ***** ******* ******* *********** I want Canadian Tire to acknowledge the issue and clarify how their technicians are trained to ensure honest and accurate ****** assessments. A formal apology and internal review of this incident would be appropriate.
