For 40 years + my family & I have purchased at Nortown. Until recently their products were reliably good. That has changed. Two times now I have gotten a pullet to make chicken soup and, frankly, the pullet was old enough to vote. I spent hours on the soup only to have it taste "off", even my granddaughters wouldn't eat it & they love my chicken soup! Also, Nortown is pricing themselves out of business, the only reason they still have a customer base is habit & lack of competition. * ** * ******* ************* * *** ************* ******. But $20-24 for a pullet is nuts. Bones to make beef broth used to be free, then Nortown started charging, now they are $12.00! Bone-in chicken breasts, 2 are $$17.00. Two strip steaks $29.00. That much of a cost increase is unjustified. And how dare they sell chickens that are not fresh! Only a business that has become greedy and smug will operate as they now do, & they will lose a lot of business unless they pay attention to quality products and their customers. Most of us can still walk.
