Beware of ConvrtX and Joshua A.; they've demonstrated fraudulent activities, causing multiple startups to falter. My experience, like many others, involved ***** promising to leverage my startup for capital investment, but the assurances evaporated post-contract. ConvrtX, acting as an incubator and developer for my startup, tried to charge extra fees without approval. My startup's evolution was mostly self-directed, his advise was minimal. I paid $47,000 for a clickable prototype that was never delivered.
***** claimed additional hours had been spent on the project but provided no valid proof, despite multiple requests. The contract asks for additional hours to be approved by me, I never did.
***** coerced me into paying a development down payment, promising that development had started. However, once the payment was made, he demanded an additional $20K for the alleged extra hours spent on the prototype that not only I didn't request, but that he never could provide documentation to prove. Attempts to negotiate were met with intimidation and insistence on paying for unverified hours.
I eventually offered more than half of their demand to dissolve our contract and retrieve work files that had been paid in full, but they declined. A year later, I'm without the files I paid for and my development deposit, with development never having started. They refuse to give me even my files and have kept my dev deposit. ConvrtX, now incorporated in the UAE, possibly to evade legal jurisdictions, continues to exploit founders.
    I'm filing a fraud report in the USA, alongside other similarly ********* founders. Technology enables us to expose such entities and prevent further ******. *** ***** ******* *** * *** ******* ************* ** ******** ***** ********* *********** ********* ******* ******* **** **** ** ******* ** ******** **** ********* *** ********* ** ********** ******* ****** ********* ** **** ****** ** **** *** ********* ** *************** ******* *** ********

Extremely disappointed. At first I felt supported and truly believed this was a company that cared about seeing my ideas and vision become a reality.
    Went downhill from there.
As a creator, I was hoping for more guidance on the path to the App becoming a business. However, meetings with Josh were more like a jigsaw puzzle of "Let's see if you can figure it out as we go, with 10 missing pieces".
I'm a very coachable person... but I need to understand, like most, the actual game I'm being coached to play
I was suddenly told that my Crowd Fund work (which I paid for) would not be handed over until purchased a website... this was NOT mentioned prior to joining up. At this point I flat-out asked multiple people at Convrtx: "Does the company actually care whether my App is a success... or is this all about the Upsell? Does Convrtx have any actual skin in the game?"
    The silence was deafening.
The very dubious crunch came when I was repeatedly asked to register my business in Delaware (a notorious tax shelter), and upon saying that I had already registered the business in Canada (the logical thing to do, since I live in Canada), Josh basically said: "Yeah... none of my investors will touch you."
I haven't heard a word since, except for the occasional customer service call to say: "How is your experience with Convrtx?" (Which I naturally NEVER get a follow up on, when I tell them how disappointed I am)
    Very disheartening.
