    I have just come across an entry on my credit report from Instadebit today, dated November 13, 2023. I am unfamiliar with Instadebit and have not initiated any transactions with them. I am troubled by the lack of proper identity verification methods employed, and I find it unacceptable that their website lacks adequate security measures to prevent unauthorized access.

    Hello, 

    Please be advised that in order to register for INSTADEBIT you are required to enter your name, address, date of birthday and last 4 digits of your SIN to create the account. As displayed in our Terms Of Use Section 7.1 it states "You authorize us to access your credit bureau file and other Third Party data sources to verify the personal information you have supplied, for insufficiently funded transactions, and negative or fraudulent activity. "

    If you did not create an INSTADEBIT account, please contact ********** in regards to the unauthorized credit check.

    Well insta debit owes me 100 dollars I sent proof of a new account but it wasn't good enough for them then they ask me to send a direct deposit form with a date on it and numbers of my account and a stamp of my bank on it but my bank told me stamps don't exist anymore and now they refuse to give my money and keep adding things on a list to get the money but the won't expect my form don't know what to do anymore expect legal action thanks.

    This company calls itself INSTADEBIT insinuating that money will be INSTANTLY DEBITED from your account, right? ******** I signed up with then when prompted to while making a payment on a certain website, a $10 payment. The money was ********* in my account at the time * *** ****** *** ********. I made the purchase, everything was fine. Then come to find out that "INSTA"DEBIT doesn't actually debit your account for 2 business days, well 2 business days later I did not have the money in my account, so now I get an NSF charge of $45, they then attempt 2 more times all coming back NSF! So now ** *** ******* ***** $135! *** *** *** **** because of a $10 payment. Nowhere in the registration process does it mention this 2 day delay ***** Not once was I told of this policy on signing up, * ******* ******* ** *** **** ************ ** ***** ** ******** ** ****** ** ****** ********* ***** ****** **** **** *** *** they will not cover the NSF charges that are on my account ***** ******* ** ***** ********** **** **** *** **** ** ********** ** *** ** **** *** ** **** ** *** **** ***** ** **** ** ****** *** ****** * ** ***** **** **** **** **** * *** ********** ******* ** ** **** *** *** **** *** **** ** ****** ********* *** ** ******* the people I talked to on the phone were **** and not helpful at all, * ***** **** ******** ***** telling me I was out the money.     Hello, 

    Thank you for contacting INSTADEBIT, when a customer approves a transaction to be sent to the merchant. We immediately send the funds to the merchant, however it takes 0 to 2 business days for the funds to be removed from the customers bank account. At the time the customer has initiated the transaction a receipt has been sent to them with this information. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the funds are in their bank account until it clears. 

    We see that the customer has approved two separate transactions. The first transaction was initiated on October 21st for the amount of $21.95, the second transaction was initiated on October 25th for the amount of $11.95. When a transaction does not clear due to an NSF (insufficient funds) we do not re-attempt to remove the funds. However when a transaction is returned due to insufficient funds your bank and/or the originating bank processor (which is the bank that INSTADEBIT utilizes to access the banking network) may charge you NSF fees. The customer may contact the bank directly in regards to the NSF fee as we do not receive any of the proceeds. 

    Please be advised that the customer was notified of this information on November 4th through email.

    Nowhere in the registration process does it tell you that the funds are debited 2 days later.     I had an inquiry on my credit report from Instadebit on July 12 2022. I do not even know what instadebit is so I know that I did not apply for anything.

    The customer has been informed that we are a payment processing company. In order to register for the service customers sign up through the internet using our online application form. The customer is required to enter personal information such as name, address and date of birth, which is then verified with the credit bureau before an account is authorized. To create the account, the applicant must have access to all the personal information we require and authorize the online registration to complete the process. Since this is an online registration process it is difficult to determine who submitted the information.

    We contacted the customer today; however, we did not receive a reply. If the customer does not wish to provide us with the information requested, the customer should follow up with the credit bureau for next steps relating to any unauthorized inquiries.
