    On initial contact, I was told to communicate via a landline. I was sent an intake email that I filled out...three days went by with no response. So today since I am home I have called throughout the day no answer as I was told communicating by phone is better. How does a client get feedback about their pets while they are staying with her? I found an alternate phone number online which I called. It turns out she was ignoring her landline. She expects the full price upfront through an e-transfer. Money that would be lost to her pocket before any service. I offered her 50% to secure a spot she said I am potentially at high risk of not showing up and wants 100% upfront only. "That is how it is done everywhere else." That simply isn't true. E transfer $280 show up with my cats at her door the day before I am supposed to get on a plane and she doesn't answer the door like she doesn't answer her phone? She told me my request was only for 6 days and I would be taking up the room of someone who wants their pet for 2 weeks. ******.
    In the end, I would rather leave my cats in a more expensive place even though it is beyond my budget because I know I will get updates on their stay and staff will not ignore the phone. I will be paying for peace of mind.

    Our policy is to secure a reservation the fees must be paid in advance at the time of a reservation. Just as when one has to pay for airfare and their own hotels fees in advance our pet hotel requires the same. There are no acceptations. This woman, *** *******, threatened if I did not allow her to not pay for the reservation that she would post a bad review. The statements she is making about our response to her emails and telephone conversation is * ***. This woman argued with me profusely that she should not have to follow our rules. She is making up a false story about us not answering phone calls or giving updates on her pets. Her pets have never been here ever. We have been in business for 23 years and at this location. Regardless this is a small business and it is a business which is a labour of love - a great deal of payment for our services is gratitude. This person **** would not meet the criteria that we require of our clients.
