    My son received a gift card for Christmas in December 2023 for $80.00. The giftcard has the following vendors noted in on the front: ****************** ******** ******* ******* ****** ***** ******* ****** *** ********** ******. On Saturday, November 3rd, I called the **************** at ***** ***** *** ** ******** ******** ** ***** to make sure they had men's sweatpants in a size 2x before making the 30 minute drive to the facility. On arrival, my son tried on a few pairs and we settled on 3 items which were going to cost a total of $97.00. I had a gift card for $80.00 and I planned to pay the rest on my credit card. I presented the card and the 2 women working said that they were no longer owned by the same company and could use it online at ********. I went online to the ******** website and the card did not work. I called the phone number on the back of the card ###-###-#### and spoke to an agent at a company called Givex. I advised him the store refused to take the card even though they are listed as a brand on the card and it was also un-useable at the ******** website. I asked if they can cancel this card and provide a new card that is useable for $80.00. They advised I need to ask ******** why it doesn't work because the card has $80.00 and is active and usable.     In response to Better Business Bureau Complaint ID ******** from ******* ******, ***** ****** **** responded to this complaint after it was forwarded from Givex.  Spoke to Ms. ****** on November 19,2024 to apologize for the problems that we had with the redemption of the ***** Gift Card and this service experience.  We are sending out the requested refund check for $142.00 that will be delivered on Friday November 22, 2024.  We sent Ms. ****** the email response below this morning.
