      I purchased a condominium from Mod Development Inc. in 2019, wherein I paid $2,671.92 to cover the City of Toronto property taxes for the years 2019 and 2020. Mod Development Inc. was supposed to remit the these taxes to the City of Toronto on my behalf. However, upon verification with the City of Toronto Property Tax department in 2023, it came to my attention that the property taxes had not been paid by the company. In light of this discrepancy, I reached out to Mod Development Inc. requesting reimbursement for the outstanding taxes, along with accrued interest. The total amount owed stands at $3,262.13, which includes the initial sum of $2,671.92, plus $590.21 in interest, however I only received a cheque for $2,069.89, with no explanation why the cheque amount is less than $3,262.13 that is owed to me, nor have I received a response from the company for the numerous emails that I have sent.
