    S2S was given a deposit of $676.87 (negotiated down from larger amounts requested) to provide siding repair and replacement services on my house. Over a period of roughly 4 months, these services were repeatedly scheduled and delayed, each time with a new excuse. Finally, no services having ever been provided whatsoever beyond two inspections, I said I wouldn't tolerate any more delays and requested my deposit back. That was on November 2nd. On November 7th, S2S was given a deadline of November 11th at 5 PM to return my deposit. They accepted this deadline in writing, then completely ignored it in reality. In response to an angry phone call, they emailed me on the 12th stating that they're waiting for a refund from a supplier for materials. This is another invalid and fundamentally dishonest excuse for yet another ostensive delay. My contract was with S2S, not its suppliers, and having failed to perform the services, S2S must return my deposit. When and whether S2S gets a refund from the supplier is entirely irrelevant, and being used as an attempt to distract and deflect from their refusal to return my deposit. I want my deposit back immediately.

    The business involved here returned my deposit following numerous complaints and a threat to report them to the Ontario Ministry of Government and Consumer Affairs.
