In May 2022, I purchased a 2018 Honda Certified Accord with a full extended warranty. Since then, there have been a number of minor issues. Most recently, in March 2023, I noticed that the paint on the front bumper was flaking off. I took the vehicle in to Waterloo Honda Service, they photographed the paint, and agreed that they were responsible to repair it. They said they would obtain permission from Honda Canada and follow up. After six weeks, I contacted them again as I had not received any further word. Their technicians apologized for the lengthy delay, said they had been quite busy, and asked me to drop off the vehicle, which I did on 12 June.
Two days later, I received a call from Mike, the Internal Service Coordinator at Waterloo Honda. He told me that the body shop had informed him that there was damage to the inside of the bumper and that this is the cause of the flaking paint. There is no visible damage to the exterior. Consequently, he reversed the decision we had been given in March and said Waterloo Honda would not be covering the cost of restoring the flaking paint.
This vehicle receives very little use and has not had any impacts or damage. It seems likely to me that, as it was a previously owned vehicle, the previous owner may have touched up the bumper prior to selling it back to Waterloo Honda, which failed to perform a full inspection. Ten months after we purchased the vehicle and warranty, Waterloo Honda has changed its mind and informed us that they are not responsible for the flaking paint.
    On the whole, the level of service I have received from Waterloo Honda is weak, ********** **** ******** ** *** ************ ********* ******* ******** ** ********* ****** ***** ** ** ******** **** ******** I would never again purchase a vehicle from Waterloo Honda *** * ***** ******* ****** ******* ***** *** ***** ***** ** ********** ***** *** **** ** ******* **** ******** *** ********* ***** ******** ***** ** *** ******
