*** ***** was hired to do a basement bathroom renovation. Upon completion of the job, I advised the workmanship of the drywall work was very poor. *** offered to come back a second time to fix the issues but they were not corrected to a satisfactory level so *** offered a discount which I thought was fair and he was paid that amount. The shower leaks but *** will not warranty the work as he stated his Warranty is generally for paying customers. I paid *** in full the agreed upon amount and now he will not return my emails to set up a time to come and inspect the issue. I would not recommend this company as they do NOT honor their warranty. Very disappointing

At Two Lakes, we pride ourselves on prioritizing customer satisfaction and uphold a policy of not charging for labor until the successful completion of the project.

In this bathroom renovation, the client contested the labor costs upon completion and subsequently raised concerns about the quality. We are committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences encompassing both pricing and workmanship. Consequently, we readily offer to return and address any issues, understanding that certain tasks, such as drywall finishing, often require multiple visits due to drying and sanding processes. Despite this standard practice, the client refused our attempts to rectify the situation and denied us further access to the property.

This unfortunate circumstance resulted in a deadlock: the client declined to remit the agreed-upon payment, while we were prevented from resolving any perceived shortcomings. Furthermore, the project incurred unforeseen expenses due to the client's request for additional electrical work, necessitating the engagement of a licensed electrician, as well as supplementary time spent on the removal of a concrete floor to achieve a uniform finish.

To avoid pursuing legal action, we elected to accommodate the client's demands by requesting payment solely for the materials utilized. We waived all labor fees, resulting in zero compensation for two weeks of work. Although this outcome was disheartening, we accepted it and believed the matter was concluded.

Contrary to our expectations, the client contacted us six months later, reporting a shower leak and requesting our return for repairs. We gladly offer warranties on our labor to our paying clientele, this client was offered the option of receiving a post-service invoice, under which our warranty would have still been honored.

This particular project has proven to be an ongoing challenge. The decision to maintain our position was difficult, and the resulting repercussions have regrettably cast a negative light on our company.
