I hired Andrew C. at AM Contracting & Development to redo a chimney flashing. The work completed was unfinished, shingles were damaged in the process, the metal work is not done properly. There is mismatching caulking used and the final result looks completely unprofessional. When these concerns were raised and a solution was proposed, Andrew threatened to immediately go and remove the work. ************** ***** ************** ******** ********

    Business Response

    Date: 29/08/2023

Customer/ contractor replied to Bill stating he did not want to pay and would in turn give me $50.00 for gas money.  In response I stated if there was an issue with the work and he wasn't happy I would be glad to remove the flashing once he had ensured it would be re flashed for water protection purposes.

At no point was an opportunity to rectify the situation given, simply a threat of none payment.

As I explained to the contractor if he in turn was profiting off the completed work then in no way does he have the right to withhold payment. If there was an issue the material would have in turn been removed or replaced.
