We engaged All hands on Deck in Jan 2023. We have a contract signed from Jan 12, 2023 for work to be completed. Having worked with this company in prior years, we felt comfortable with the trustworthiness of the owner. The payments were setup to permit the company to buy the materials upfront. The work started in June (as agreed). The company did not order the correct parts. Then they claimed they did not order enough parts. Then they claimed delays by the supplier. All these delays were fine, so long as we were kept informed and work somewhat progressed. Last week, ***, simply stopped responding to our calls, texts, emails. He has 90% of the money, with 50% f the work completed. We have to still complete the finishings on the roof, then the entire interior of the structure (insulation, drywall, tape, mud, sand, paint, flooring, heating/cooling unit). He has the money to buy these things, but has completely abandoned the job, without any explanation. We are left now for a week with no contact and a job that is not useable. We will have to engage a new contractor to complete the work, at additional costs to us. We have a signed contract from this company. Can you help us engage with them for compensation - or perhaps resume the work and complete the project? ****
