Hello, we started contacting Welcome ******************* ****** in January and asked her to customize our kitchen. We provided the kitchen design to ****** and she was told clearly that we wanted to use High-Density Fiberboard (HDF) for cabinet boxes rather than particle board. Despite this, she deliberately concealed the fact that the company did not provide cabinet boxes made of HDF. From January 23rd to April 15th, in nearly 3 months, ****** consistently assured us via email and in person that the cabinet boxes would be made of HDF. And she deliberately avoided specifying the material of the cabinet box in formal documents. Several quotations merely mentioned "DECOR" FRAMELESS CABINETRY without clarifying the material used. And the contract only stated that the cabinet box construction is STANDARD. Despite our repeated inquiries regarding the meaning of STANDARD, ****** just provided a drawing of DECOR CABINET CONSTRUCTION which clearly marked as particle board. On Apr. 22nd, we came to the store to inquire whether HDF materials could be marked in the contract. ****** and her boss ***** said they would not use HDF for cabinet boxes, only particleboard and plywood. We pointed out that ****** had always promised us that the material of the cabinet boxes would be HDF. But no apology and no explanation! ***** simply said that it was a mistake. And kept trying to let us to accept this mistake and accept using particle board. We've paid a retainer of $1426.6 on March 21st, that was paid under the circumstances of being deceived by ******. We are very disappointed with this company's deceptive behavior. We formally complained to Welcome Home via email on April 26, and attached evidence including emails, quotations, contract, hoping that they would refund the full retainer. But until now, there has been no result.
