Taylormade canada offered a “trade in” program, so if one purchased equipment from them, the consumer can trade in used or new clubs and use the “assessed” value of those goods towards the purchase of the new equipment. I purchase the new equipment, ship my used equipment to taylormade, they assess the used equipment and then issue a credit back to your original method of payment. They advertise the credit will be issued 10-15 business days after they have received and assess the used clubs. They received my used clubs on March 3rd of this year. I’ve contacted them twice, well after 15 business days and was told the first time the credit would be in my account by a particular date. No deposit on that date. The second time, I was told there was an issue with the finance team and had been rectified and it would be deposited into my account after 3 business days. Still no deposit. The 3rd time I contacted them, they told me there was an IT issue with their third party payment vendors and I’d simply have to wait until they resolve their issues. ************ * ***** this had been 16 business days after their advertised 15 business days timeline. I asked them to cut me a cheque. The manager was asking for my banking info for an EFT transfer and said they couldn’t continue without my account info in order to cut a cheque??? So I asked them to return my used clubs, they said no. They don’t contact the customer and so I must continue to contact them and wait and see. I was told the credit is worth approx $1440. Currently, they are holding my goods without paying for them and are also refusing to return them as an option. I’d like the credit. There is no upper management to contact on their website and they don’t respond to customer inquiries. Only way to have a conversation is via online chat on their website.

I purchased a set of Taylormade ***** clubs July 2024. After a only few uses, the inset on the driver head started to peel. It was replaced through warranty. The 3 Wood, and 5&6 hybrids developed chips on the club heads. Not from rough handling, just ****** manufacturing. Taylormade responded that they won't replace them because it's esthetics and doesn't affect play. So now I have a 6 month old set with a driver that doesn't match and three clubs with chips. Not happy at all.

This is quoted from their website.

" golf clubs will be free from defects in materials and workmanship during normal and customary use for two years from the original date of purchase"

Says nothing about affecting the play. My three clubs with chips definitely have defects in materials and/or workmanship and should be covered under warranty.

I'm greatly disappointed in this set. It looks like a set that's been used for years. And yet it's only 6 months old.
