- Advertising Review:
On April 26, 2024, BBB contacted the business regarding claims made on its website and online advertising and requested they be substantiated, modified, or discontinued.
The business offers slashed pricing. BBB’s Code of Advertising states that retailers can advertise “sales” where they are offering a significant reduction in price for a limited period of time. If companies continually advertise the same discount on a service, then it does not represent actual savings. BBB was unable to locate an expiry date on the offer.
BBB requested substantiation for and advertised award for “The Best Self Storage in Vaughan for 2021”. BBB attempted to substantiate this claims independently but were not successful. BBB’s Code of Advertising states that advertisers have a responsibility to possess substantiation for all claims made and should be able to provide that substantiation upon request.
While the business was initially responsive to our requests, the business has since failed to make the requested modifications and has not provided substantiation for the advertised claims.
