  Great Northern Insulation was initially hired by a contractor to reinsulate our attic space. Unfortunately to do this job we had to remove the roof to access the attic. Our roofing company came and removed the rear of the roof to give GNI full access to the attic to apply spray foam and loose fill on top, we were charged $6264.72 for insulation. No one from GNI communicated with us while they were here. They were done in only a few hours and left. Thought the job had been completed until mid November when we got a heavy snow load and there was a 2 foot hot spot section all across the front of our house. The insulation crew did not insulate the entire space, rather did just over half of the attic but charged for the entire square footage. When in communication with GNI they tried to say the space was blocked and they did not have access to reach the entire space. To fix it we had to remove the front of the roof to give them access a second time to get this area covered. There was nothing blocking them from doing it right the first time, just laziness; and they had every excuse in the book. They had the audacity to send an invoice for the second application when they had already been paid in full to do the job the first time, this time charging an additional $2825 to repair. They were also to remove the old insulation from the property when the job was complete. Great Northern refuses to take the old insulation with them and instead left it in my driveway. So after all of this and now having paid them $9089.72 for insulation, there is still a hot spot across the roof where they still haven’t done it properly and I have to figure out how I’m going to dispose of the old insulation. **** ******* ** ******* *** * ***** They don’t care about their workmanship and won’t take responsibility for it either. For your own sake, do NOT hire this company!
