*********. ** ****** ** *** *** *** ************ ********* ** ****** took *** car there regularly for oil change. 2 oil changes ago, I performed oil change. When he went there last time, they noticed he missed an oil change and told him *** oil was burnt. They recommended a flush and then an additive with new oil. Flushes are discouraged by manufacturer as it may harm seals.
Then they told him he needed fuel injector service. Adde FI cleaner in fuel tank and did not provide instructions. Then they told him he needed tranny service. His car had less than half of the kms of recommended service. **** original brakes are still like new so not a hard driver). When they added tranny fluid, they did not follow procedure. You need to connect to onboard computer to know when tranny is within specific temperature range at which point you need to remove "level plug" accessible from wheel well. Also not done. Idea is to add fluid until it pours out of hole and replace plug once it stop pouring. Overfilling tranny can cause permanent damage to tranny. ** ****** did receive money back for flush and oil additive. Refused to reimburse for tranny service or FI service. Told me that they put in tranny fluid per manufacturer specifications. I have manual, there is no preset amount. Also they told me that tranny service was provided according to manufacturer schedule. Not true. I have manual. ******** ********** *** ***** **** ** ****** ********* ***** *** ***** *** ******** *** *********

Hi, we have investigated and we have refunded the Flush and oil additive money as a goodwill. Fuel system service is due every 25000Km and Transmission fluid change due at 72000Km by Manufacture. All the services was performed on customer approval and we offered money back for transmission and fuel system service if previous record can be provided indicating both services was done prior within the range of interval.
We will be very happy to refund money for both services if prior record indicates both services was done and also we would like to offer one complimentary oil change as a goodwill with no expiry date.

Please indicate source of fuel system service and transmission fluid change schedule quoted by Mr Lube. I have both the user manual and service manual for 2012 ********* *****.
User Manual: 9-44 Driving and Operating (Page 242 in digital copy). Fuel Additives (similar text found in US manual)
"To provide cleaner air, all gasolines in the United States are now required to contain additives that help prevent engine and fuel system deposits from forming, allowing the emission control system to work properly. In most cases, nothing should have to be added to the fuel. However, some gasolines contain only the minimum amount of additive required to meet U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regulations. To help keep fuel injectors and intake valves clean and avoid problems due to dirty injectors or valves, look for gasoline that is advertised as TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline. Look for the TOP TIER label on the fuel pump to ensure gasoline meets enhanced detergency standards developed by the auto companies. A list of marketers providing TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline can be found at ****************** For customers who do not use TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline regularly, one bottle of ** Fuel System Treatment PLUS, added to the fuel tank at every engine oil change, can help clean deposits from fuel injectors and intake valves. ** Fuel System Treatment PLUS is the only gasoline additive recommended by ******* ******. It is available at your dealer."
My father was not asked if he experienced any problems with operation of car or where he purchased fuel. Additionally, no instructions were provided to my father making the addition of FI cleaner useless since there was no way to follow instructions that were not provided. ** ****** was never asked if ** needed or wanted service but was told ** needed it which is not true. The recommended procedure can be performed by the owner and does not require a technician.
User Manual: Service and Maintenance 11-1 (digital page 362) Page 11-5 has a table for services required for vehicles where "Normal" operation is in effect.
At 156 000 km 97,500 mi, the following service is required:
    1. Rotate tires and perform Required Services. Check engine oil level and oil life percentage. Cange engine oil and filter, if needed.
    4. Replace spark plugs. Inspect spark plug wires.
    5. Change automatic transmission fluid, if equipped. If filter is serviceable, change filter.
    6. 1.8L L4 Engine Only: Replace timing belt. (c)
    (c) Or every 10 years, whichever comes first.
For items 4, 5 & 6, this is the first instance where scheduled maintenance is required.
On Page 11-7 there is a table for service for SEVERE operation of vehicle. ** ****** ** ** ***** *** **** original brakes that are like new. There is no reason to suspect SEVERE service schedule would apply. UNDER SEVERE conditions, it is appropriate to replace transmission at 72 000 km/45,000mi
Regardless, procedure for servicing transmission was not followed. Requires following ** procedure. I can provide a copy of detailed procedure if you wish. On digital service manual page 7601, TRANSMISSION FUILD DRAIN AND FILL is described. There is a Draining procedure, a Filling procedure and a FLUID LEVEL CHECK procedure. The steps below are from the fluid level check procedure.
    Step 3
"Allow the engine to idle between 500 to 800 RPMfor at least 3 minutes, to allow any fluid frothing to dissipate and the fluid level to stabilize. Release the brake pedal. ?CAUTION: The transmission fluid level must be checked when the transmission fluid temperature (TFT) is at 85-95°C (185-203°F). If the TFT is not at this temperature, operate the vehicle or allow the fluid to cool as required. Setting the fluid level with a TFT outside this temperature will result in either an under or over-filled transmission. TFT over 95° C under-filled, TFT under 85°C over-filled. An under-filled transmission will cause premature component wear or damage. An over-filled transmission will cause fluid to discharge out the vent tube, fluid foaming, or pump cavitation."
    Step 4
"Keep the engine running and observe the transmission fluid temperature (TFT), using the driver information center or a scan tool."
    Step 5
"Raise the vehicle on a hoist. ?NOTE: The vehicle must be level, with the engine running and the shift lever in the PARK range.
WARNING: The engine must be running when the transmission fluid fill plug is removed, or excessive fluid loss will occur. Transmission fluid may be hot. Since the actual fluid level is unknown, stand clear when removing the fill plug. Have a container ready to capture any lost fluid. Do not turn the engine off with the fill plug removed, as you can be injured by hot transmission fluid being expelled out of the oil fill opening."
No attempt by MR LUBE technicians was made to obtain transmission fluid temperature through the computer port inside the car with a SCAN TOOL. **** ** ******** NO ATTEMPT was made to remove the fluid fill plug AS REQUIRED. Employee Tajan confirmed that plug was never removed and level was never checked. I personally performed the factory steps and used a SCAN TOOL to monitor temperature of Transmission fluid and then removed the fluid fill plug. I collected approximately 200ml of excess transmission fluid (which I still have as evidence) in addition to what was spilled on driveway or remained in frying pan used to collect fluid. Excess fluid may cause fluid foaming and pump failure.
