Purchased bike June 7th. took home, for weekend did not ride. Took to bike shop for a proper tune-up. Bike shop called back before I even made it to work, letting my the fork was broken!! and not to bother servicing it, because it would cost me more money to fix the brand new bike i bought , that was sold to me with a broken fork.

I returned the bike to the store this evening to be met with instant hostility, over wanting to return the bike instead of having it serviced, because if it was taken care by the store in the first place, i wouldnt have made it out the store with a broken bike, in the first place. I aslo am rejecting the "warranty repair" they claim I have because they also dont know when they can get the repair parts needed to fix the bike. seems like a reason to try and sell it and make it someone-elses problem...
A simple refund should be the case here, because I did not buy a bike, for it to sit at Canadian tire waiting for parts.

***** ***** bought a bike June 7th, he returned on Monday June 10th around 5pm with the bike stating that he took it to a local shop for a tune up called Outer Limit Sports who apparently advised him that the fork suspension was damaged and he should get a refund. When we talked to ***** on that Monday, we offered an exchange for the bike and gave him information that we were getting more of the same bike on Wednesday June 12th (less than 48hrs turnaround). Bike was looked at by our bike specialist that Monday June 10th (who works full time at outer limit sports as their suspension specialist) who informed us there was nothing wrong with the original bike(the fork and suspension is functioning as it should)- regardless we still offered him an exchange for customer satisfaction purposes. We even offered to deliver the bike on the Wednesday when it was due onsite! It should also be noted, ***** ***** was extremely abusive towards our customer service representative and has told several falsehoods in his statement to the BBB that are simply not true and meant to slander a business that has been cooperative with him in finding a solution.

I am rejecting this response because:

It is Canadian Tire that is lieing. As I am the one who has proof, If I was abusive please provide detailed explanation, as this would be a criminal event.   You should have Video evidence of such "abuse". Both Reps where extremely hostile, I was using my Manners as well as even shook the hand of the GM Shelly as she approached... was that this so called abuse? actually bing friendly when a business sells you a defective product.

      Hello There,
I went to Canadian Tire in Charlottetown on Nov. 16th to get my summer tires swapped over to my winter tires. While they had possession of my car they damaged the leather wrapped steering wheel. The leather was damaged, and cut up. I went the next day to discuss the problem with the service department, was advised after being treated very rudely that they would get back to me. Dec. 8 I had heard nothing, so I sent an email to follow up. I was sent this as a response
"Due to an increase in email volumes related to busy holiday shopping season, we apologize that we will not be able to provide a personalized response to your message" it went on from there.
Now we are in January, and I have still got the issue, and have not been addressed by Can Tire. I would like to have the problem addressed and corrected.
I thank you so much for your time and assistance.

      After
investigating this complaint I can not find any evidence that the steering
wheel was damaged here at the store.  The
mechanic that worked on the car always wears gloves and is very particular when
he is in someone’s vehicle.  As this was
a tire swap there would also be no need to have anything inside of the vehicle.  The email that the customer received with the
auto response was an email he sent to our home office not to the store here in
      Charlottetown.  The response to that
email from home office also stated that the customer could call the 1-800-387-8803 to obtain
      assistance.
