Logic via owner **** was contracted to add a bathroom in my basement. The work was completed (I thought) and final invoice issued Sept 14 for $12,243.98 On Sunday Sep 24 I noticed two issues that concerned me and I contacted **** about these concerns via email. The issues are a leak under the sink and someone put a yellow lid there to catch the water and the toilet is very loose and moves around when it shouldn’t. In the email I indicate that I think it would be best to get a certified plumber separate from the company to look at the work done as I have concerns about whether the work was done properly. I also said I had 2600 owing on the invoice which I wouldn’t pay until the issues are looked at and fixed, and further that I think its fair the cost of fixing the issues is taken off the invoice. I DID not say that ****’s company was not allowed to come and repair the issues, nor did I say I would withhold payment indefinitely. Given the invoice was only issued Sep 14 I have plenty of time to settle the bill and be within the 28 day payment timelines. I expected Logic to respond with either agreement or an alternative to move forward on the two issues I brought to Logic’s attention on Sep 24. **** indicated he has not stated he would not help me which is untrue as he explicitly states that in his first email at 12 am. He further says he will no longer respond to me. There is clearly a communication breakdown between **** and I, and despite the very negative nature of these emails I am hopeful that the BBB can help us find a positive way forward to settle this issue without unnecessary legal action. The issue as I see is there is outstanding work on my sink and toilet that was installed by Logic, Logic has made no indication of its intent to resolve the issue. There is an outstanding amount due from the invoice that I feel is within my rights to hold until the issues are resolved. There is no clear path forward and lines of communication with Logic are now closed.

    Good Evening,

Attached are some text, original estimate and invoice. Since day one Logic took on this project with no payments up front or during. Upon a couple of concerns we took it seriously and dealt with everything in good time. ******* has failed to this day to show all the deficiencies by email or text other than the toilet and sink. Skirted toilet if she even boder asking as prone to move and requires additional measures. ****** it. The sink is a minor fix and it's dripping because of the seal. I placed the lid there for encase it continued and forgot about it. I have asked for ******* to provide all the text and emails showing repeat issues with her home? She has yet provided all this information. It states very clearly, payments are due upon completion. Not a personalize payment plan based on the owner method. E-transfers are for small projects not large amounts and no where was Logic asked of she can do this. No consideration was taken. Any complaint we received was resolved in high speed timing. Please show me otherwise. He bill was dropped doubled from what she asked based on how much I care and my levels of integrity to what I stand for! Can she show any of this from her part? Smearing Logic name based on telling me I have to pay for a 3 party to fix a simple issues without chance and state " I have major concerns " is absolutely unexpectable on all levels with no basis what so ever. Where are all these major concerns? Please provide all the evidence that was brought up to Logic during the entire project. Thanks

Complaint: ********. I am rejecting this response because: In his response to the BBB he did not indicate how he intends to remediate the issues. However, I did get another email from him to my personal email dated Sept 25, 2023 at 11:24 pm. I uploaded this email and my response to the claim file earlier today. In that email he makes a new threat to charge me interest which is unreasonable and goes on to question my integrity and continues his disrespectful and unprofessional language. In his Sept 25 email he does finally seem to offer a resolution with having one of his employees, ****, come and repair the issues. I responded around noon Sep 26 indicating I would not respond to anything that is not regarding the 2 issues I’ve brought up at this time, and that I was open to **** coming to do the repairs and to please advise a date and time this week. As of 4 pm Sept 26 I have not yet received a response from Logic to set a date and time for repairs. Given the nature of Logic’s email I am uncertain if I interpreted their intent correctly, but for now I am choosing to be optimistic. Given his response to the BBB I’ve chosen to reject the response as I do not find this ****er is closed and the way Logic continues to speak to me is concerning. However, I am hopeful for resolution given that Logic also appears to have offered to do repairs for the 2 issues brought up Sept 24. I will not consider this closed until those repairs are completed. **** ******** * **** ******** **** *** * **** ******** ******** ** * ******** *** ********* ****** * ****** ******** ** ********* *** ***** ******* ** **** ** *** * **** ***** **** *********.

As the owner of Logic I find all this extremely intriguing. When one has received a call with a request to fix tge isses as mentioned there should be no problem on scheduling a date to fix a issue. When a company have received a email saying there's major concern without notice or explanation to what is major on ******* concern and she will not pay the amount and want a 3 party to look and fix the plumbing. Should Logic have to stand for it? Should I have agreed to paying a 3 party without a opertunity. The tone by ******* Email was very clear and she made payment as she pleased without concent by Logic. Basically we should agree, back down and let her decide how this works since it's her home. My money is invested in her home. ******* however does have the right to be frustrated or disappointed but Logic has yet to disagree with fixing anything nor have we received one appreciation from her on site text or email regardless of our efforts. As a business owner i will charge intrest and will defend everything since my text leading to all this was pure, honest and with high levels of integrity. I still stand, provide information showing up to the email stating major concerns and wanting not to pay and getting a 3 party without a opertunity to fix things. Combine all the information I stood my ground and said no. Denying my opinion by customer right rules will not be except able. Why should I as the owner have to fight with a client to come and fix a issue we can resolve. I've been called a bully. Read the first email. Who is the bully????????? **** that works for me will show up as mentioned and fix the issues September 28 at 8 am. Perhaps, lessons is be kind and give people a chance and say thank you.
