Despite initially agreeing to fulfill their assurances, Honey Badger failed to complete the promised work as per our agreement. Upon completion of the plumbing work, I requested adjustments that may have been required during the renovation, and they agreed to address them. Specifically, I asked to move the sink by one foot, which necessitated a change in the direction of one 'T' connection. As originally requested, I offered to cover the material costs and clarified that no new lines or connections were necessary. However, they later reneged on their agreement and demanded payment for the adjustments.

However, they later reneged on their agreement and demanded payment for the adjustments. The company initially accepted these requests and even confirmed via email (dated February 29, 2024) their intention to proceed accordingly. They provided options for the job to be done on either March 1st or 2nd. I chose March 1st between 3-5 pm. However, later I received an email stating that their team had gone out of town and would come on Friday. Due to my unavailability, I requested another day. Despite this, they did not provide any alternative schedule, and when I reached out the following week, Honey Badger refused to do the work.

    Business Response

First of all, I would like to thank you for understanding that there are always two sides to every dispute and not just posting something that hurts our company.

Unfortunately, this customer is unhappy and does not realize his words affect many hard-working individuals that put their hard work and time into building this company's brand. None of our quotes or jobs are a surprise cost. We send quotes in advance, and they are approved by the customer before any work can start.

With that being said, we have completed all the work detailed in the quote provided to the customer. We typically offer a 1-year warranty on our work, for example - if anything we installed had a leak on it, we would come back and fix it for free, no questions asked. I tried to explain our 1-year warranty to the customer but unfortunately, the customer expressed that since they have spent money with the company that we should relocate his sink 3 months later at no cost – which does not fit within our 1-year warranty on work.

Please keep in mind we installed the sink in the exact location provided by the customer. Prior to installation we also verified the location again but this time it was with the customer’s wife to ensure the proper location. As stated above, the customer would now like us to come back and move the sink approximately 2 feet in a completely different direction than where the stack tee is being directed.  An inquiry like this was not an issue with any work that was done by the technicians but was an adjustment for relocation per customer's request – which would require any customer to be charged our company rate or a free of charge quote.

In the end - we tried to talk to the customer and come up with a reasonable solution and the customer did not want to go with any of our solutions provided.

    Sincerely,
Honey Badger Sewer and Drain Inc.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

This company is not reliable in keeping their word. While they have explained the work and what they are going to do, they also agreed to move the sink if any adjustments were required. Could you please ask them on which date they provided written warranty terms and conditions? Everything was discussed verbally with me, and I trusted their words.

Typically, plumbing work is followed by the completion of drywall and ceiling repair, which was damaged during the plumbing work. Unfortunately, I did not have any contractor availability at the time to complete these repairs. I agreed to fix the toilet bowls, sink, and bathtub before completing the wall and ceiling. However, when they fixed the kitchen sink, we had a detailed discussion. Bracing was done in the wall because they could not fix the sink near the wall. At that time, Honey Badger placed the sink in the middle, and we agreed upon their promise that they would move it if required in the future.

When I contacted them, they agreed to do so and provided two schedules for free of cost. The confirmation email was dated February 29, 2024, 10:35 am, from their office (******** ** * **** ** *** *****). I chose the first slot, but they couldn't make it due to the non-availability of workers on emergency duty. Later, they refused to finish the job. This clearly shows their unreliability in keeping their statements. *** *** ** ***** **** ** **** ********** ***** **********? I don’t have any written agreement when they initially agreed to the adjustment but refused later.

In conclusion, could you please ask them to explain the following questions:

    1. Date of written warranty sent to me.
    2. What was the reason for acceptance on February 29, 2024, and refusal later?
    3. In their response, Honey Badger mentioned a reasonable solution. What are they, other than asking for more money to complete the work?
    4. In their statement, they mentioned that the customer did not realize his words. What are they? I have remembered what I discussed, as stated above.

    I proposed a solution where I would cover the cost of materials if they could not be reused. However, Honey Badger insisted on charging more for the job. ** * ** ******** ** **** *** ***** **** *** ****** * ****** **** ****** ***** ****** ** *** * ******** ******* ** ******** ** ******* ***** ** ***** ************* **********.

    ************ **** ********* *** *** * *********** ****** ** ** ****** ****** ** * **** ********** *** ******** ** ***** ********

    Finally, I want to emphasize that my intention is not to tarnish any company's reputation. My sole aim is to ensure that the services agreed upon verbally are provided as promised. * **** ****** ************ **** *** ****** ** ******** ** * ******* ******** ******** ** ******* *** ******** **** **** **** **** ** ** * ****** ** ********* *** ********* *** * ** ********** ** ****** ** * ******** ** ****** *** *********** ******** * **** **** ****

If they cannot complete the job by the end of March 31, 2024, I will not accept it, even if they agree to complete it later. Instead, I will pursue compensation through legal means.

    Sincerely,
    ********** ********
