    On 7/26 I payed $1000 for a brake job from Quality Tune. Since the moment picking up my car my new brakes have been overheating and rattling and squeaking and the mechanic says it isn't his problem.

    The boiling point of water is 212 degrees.  During aggressive or hill driving brakes can reach around 300 degrees.  During out test drives the hottest we got your brakes was 275 degrees.  Enough to cause steam.  The sway bar links in the vehicle are 10 years old.  They are worn out and loose.  Bad sway bar links cause noise and sway.

    Brought my truck in for a tune up, they called later that day an said they put the wrong spark Plugs in an bent the valves an piston, they rebuilt engine, now its not running rite

    Customer left shop with a good running 30+year old vehicle. Upon returning he was driving erratically and was being belligerent. We continued to try to help him but he began ripping parts off his vehicle and throwing them at an employee. We continued to look at the vehicle long enough to see that the new issues he was experiencing were not related to prior visits to the shop. After some more unacceptable behavior and threats he chose to take his vehicle to another shop.

    I am rejecting this response because:Im done with these people they ruined my truck wont take responsibility for it, I have it another shop getting test done at my expense , had to tow it there,   Is taking them to court. **** gmc syclone (rare truck only **** made an they ruined my engine)

    On today's date, April 14, 2023, I paid for mechanical work completed at Quality Tune 130 ********************************** ********* ******. I paid for a family member who had work done, I live in ******* so had to be paid by credit card. When family member called the shop initially and spoke to ******* she explained I would be paying and asked if they accepted credit cards and was told yes. They made appointment for today. No information provided about a non cash fee. Family member received call that her vehicle was ready and the amount due was told $1054.20 was due. She arrived at shop and called me for payment. He said he could speak to me on her phone. I provided credit card info and then asked that she be provided receipt. I thanked him and call was ended. The receipt was texted to me and I see a different total! ******* on cash register receipt, non cash payment ***** fee.I immediately called her and she said she was never advised...I then called ******* who said there's a sign by cash register. Unfortunately, I'm in ******* and unable to see this. When he takes payment over phone he should advise the payer. That fee is extremely high. I've paid with credit card 40 years much higher amounts and NEVER paid a fee. I have seen notices for flat fee's of **** but never ever this high. I would have wired cash to my family member so could pay cash. The bill was already high enough. ******* stated credit cards charge this? Then why wouldn't other businesses charge what Quality Tune does? This is very bad practice.I should have been advised for over phone payment. He didn't seem concerned about my questions. I called my credit card company and they did not validate his justification. I feel this transaction should be terminated to accept cash since not originally offered. I can wire money to my family member immediately for cash payment. Unable to resolve through store owner.

    All fees were made aware to the customer. I do not charge the fees the merchant services company who processes the card does. I also do not inflate my prices to cover the cost of credit card processing and offer a cash discount. I do this to be as transparent as possible. I do not absorb the fees that would be offering a free product. I am a for profit company not a charity.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    The customer did not receive the credit card receipt showing the non cash payment fee until AFTER the payment was made.  The credit card receipt was stapled to the work order.

    The owner must advise the person paying of added fees. This was not done.  Private practice or not wrong is wrong.

    You clearly know it was never mention and receipt not given until after payment.  Its the only place disclosing the fee.  The response is unacceptable.
