I picked up a set of oars from Alaska Raft and Kayak on April 22,2023. I took my boat in to their shop and was assisted by **** to help fit me for oars. After purchasing the pair suggested by him, I took my boat out for about 5 min on a small body of water to test the fit on my raft in the water. I realized they were too short for me, flexed too much and I needed the stronger 8ft oars. The rope wrap was a bit frayed from oarlock rubbing on it. Again, I was only out there for about 5min. I asked Alaska Raft and Kayak if they would return or exchange and the would not, only due to the fraying. Blades and shafts are still brand new condition and still have stickers on them. Since they are an authorized NRS dealer they should back NRS warranty. I reached out to NRS directly and they are unsure if Alaska Raft and Kayak purchased the oars from them or cataract oars directly. After sending NRS photos as well they were unsure why Alaska raft and kayak would not return or warranty item. Alaska raft and kayak also price gouged the item based on whats listed on NRS website. I paid over $600 and would like to get my money back or exchange.
