      After confirming my details with my insurance, and BTY dental also confirming my dental insurance, my first visit as a new patient was general intake on 01/21/25. I completed x rays, and completed an examination over my teeth. The next woman came in was the helper about billing, she went over the details with what the dentist found and what I needed done. She showed me that I will need fillings, sealants, and optional invisalign straightening,I was not able to pay for sealants and fillings since the bill was very large, and invisalign is not paid for by insurance, so that was not considered. She said I didn't have to do everything at once. So I asked what she recommended, and she said that fillings are more important because that is about a cavity. so I thought it would be good to do that too. She explained that my insurance was already contacted and that this would be partially covered. I asked about my 6 month waiting period for any major work being done which is still in progress, and she confirmed that my insurance was contacted and that fillings were not part of this major work waiting period. There were 7 fillings total, and after going through the price, she said I can pay half and then pay the next 4 or 5 payments each month. I agreed and the price for the fillings was *******. The scaling and appointment with x rays was ******, equaling a total of 1315$. Therefore, my fee which I paid for the day (half) was 658$. The remaining payments will autopay from my debit ******* most recent appointment, the front desk staff explained that I am required to pay the full amount that is near $3,300 since the insurance didn't cover the previous work done. When asked about the confirmation that these fees were being partially covered, and the current payment plan that I am on, they said they will try to contact the insurance again but don't count on it. This egregious error currently being billed creates a financial hardship for me and I can only pay what was agreed.

      I went to the above dental office on 8/23/22 for tooth pain. I provided the dental office with a copy of my health (dental) insurance card. They were having issues processing my insurance card so I paid out of pocket for the exam. I was advised that once the issue was resolved the dentist office would file my claim with insurance. I was also advised that once the claim was processed I would receive reimbursement for what I paid out of pocket. As of today (2/4/23), the claim still has not been filed with my insurance company and I have not received reimbursement. I have contacted the dental office billing department on multiple occasions and I am always told the claim has been submitted. However, my dental insurance has not received the claim. I have asked the dental office for the claim information so that I can file the claim myself but they won't give me the information.I have had several dental claims filed and processed (different dentist offices) since 8/23/22 with no issues.

      Date of procedure was Monday January 2nd 2023 at bty dental the mountain view location. My daughter needed to have her upper wisdom teeth pulled so we scedhuled to have them pulled 2 to 3 weeks in advance. Prior to this January 2nd appt my daughter and I discussed with the dentist about having iv sedation done to have her teeth extracted like we had done with her bottom ones, the dentist said no problem we can do that, confirmation time comes I confirm again with the iv sedation and same answer yes we will do it, date of procedure I get a phone call in the morning 30 minutes prior to appt time and again I confirm about sedation was told it will be done, so my daughter and I get to the dentist office and I'm signing papers to get her wisdom teeth pulled and I asked about the iv sedation again and was told they will do it in the back I said ok, go to the back to the room and the dentist numbs my daughter's mouth up and starts to work on her teeth. Well 30 minutes and she done needless to say no iv sedation. I called the dentist when we got home and explained what happened and I was told "well the dentist didn't think it was necessary so he didn't do it". I'm sorry that's not ok, none of the staff listened to what my daughter (17y/o) and I said and done what they wanted to. Not ok and this is the worst service I have ever gotten with any practice. Never will I go back to that location, will be going to another location today to try again (daughter needs tooth particle removed).

      I had a dental appointment on 10/21/22 for a cleaning. They insisted I have X-rays even thou I had them done at another office earlier this year. They did not tell me they could get the x-rays from the other provider. My insurance wouldn't pay for them again which they knew and still did not tell me they could get the ones already done. I was exposed to needless radiation and a $800. ********** already had a full set of X-rays which they knew because I told them and they called my insurance and they were told I just had them done. It was unethical for them to not tell me they could have the previous ones sent to them.
