      This is the second year in a row that I have witnessed *** ******* list a product on the floor for one price and then changed the price at the register.Last year, I went to buy two scoop shovels. I don't remember the specifics, but I only bought one, because at the register it was (guessing) $50 difference than the tags and what I was expecting to pay.Today (12-15-2022), I went to purchase a yellow scoop shovel. It was listed (tag on the floor in front of the stack of shovels) around $48.99. I went to the counter with two other items, one $18.99, the other about $8.00. I was told my bill was (about) $98. I contested the bill and the lady stated the scoop shovel was about $67. I showed her the tag and listed amount. She then pulled the tag, stated it was a mistake, it was for a shovel that used to be there. I told her I wanted the shovel for the listed price.She then went and got a man from the back. He came out, asked me what I needed, as if the lady hadn't told him anything. I explained the above. He told me he couldn't sell the shovel for the listed amount. I walked away, not buying anything.It appears the *** ******* store is placing lower price tags with items, then changing the price at the counter and I suspect very little people are paying attention, or purchase it anyway, since they are already there.Note: There typically are no price tags directly on items in the store.
