On the 11th of July 2024 I visited Andy's Ace Hardware store on ******************* in ********* ******. I was seeking assistance with a problem that I was having with weeds and grass growing around my Irises. A staff member offered assistance. He looked at several options they sell and he suggested the Ace brand. I asked repeatedly if he was sure and he promised that it would not kill my flowers. However, within 2 days of using it, the flowers began to die. I return to the store 16 July to seek a resolution as to how this could be handled. I asked for a manager and ***** appeared, and assured me he was the store manager. He was not a manager. When he told me there was nothing he could do, I asked for his "boss", he spoke to someone on the radio. After 10 minutes or so Faith, which claimed to be the store manager, although her business card list her as the Assistant Manager. After showing her pictures and explaining the situation to her that I had already explained to *****, she told me that there was nothing that she could do, other than give me a refund and gave me an toll-free number to call. I asked for the owner's name and an email address, I was told she was not allowed to provide it. I left the store and called the toll free number and was told that the problem would have to be resolved by the owner of that location. I went back into the store and explained again to Faith what I needed in order to get this resolved. She then smirked and grinned at me, as though there was something humorous about the fact that an employee of that store had given me a solution to a weed and grass problem that killed my flowers after being assured that it would not, and told me that is all she was allowed to do. I took my refund for the product and left after giving my telephone numbers and email address to Faith. I sent ***** an email the same day asking her to forward it to the owner. No communication from *********************************' has been received. It will cost about $200 for repairs
