      **** from AK Waste on 12/2/22. Near the middle of the bill it states residential disposal surcharge will increase effective 1/1/2023 due to landfill disposal fee increases. I called their office and inquired what the new amount would be next month. The customer service person stated she did not know the amount and the company had not told any of them about the increase. She then stated there would probably be a meeting about the increase. I stated that seems a bit illegal to just charge customers without telling them the actual amount. My account is paid through my credit card. No apology or other information was offered to me. This seems fraudulent to me. Not to mention my quarterly fees have gone up $17 in one year for 1 residential garbage can.

      They put a large dumpster in front of our garage, which is blocking us from getting our plow out. Sure we wanted it there, but we expected that they would remove it when given a week's notice. Since Friday, they have told us daily that they would be picking it up by the end of the day, but it's still there. Now they've known more snow was coming, and after 5 days of telling us they'd be out that day, the snow is here, and our plow is still stuck in the garage. Now they won't remove the dumpster because of the snow. We even shovelled out the drive for the driver they sent today and the driver wouldn't even attempt it! Even with having chains, gravel, our two trucks and tow straps, and my offer to cover a tow truck should we start to get stuck.

Our number one operating value is Safety, and it is at the discretion of our drivers to determine what is in their capabilities to complete, so not only do they keep themselves and the equipment safe, but you and your property as well. We apologize for the inconvenience and have had a member of our management team come out this morning 11/4/2022 to assess the situation. He determined conditions are well enough to have the container removed and dispatch will send a driver shortly to haul the rolloff off site.
      Again, we are sorry for the inconvenience and if you would like further assistance, please call our office, and ask for ***** our site manager.
