    DO NOT USE Alaska Stairlift & Elevator, LLC! THEY ARE UNSCRUPULOUS!Oh my goodness! I bought a USED stair lift for my husband, only 2 years old and in excellent shape. (Thank you to the person who sold it to me, you are great!) So, I decided to contact the company who sold it, Alaska Stairlift & Elevator, LLC, for help installing it. I called after hours and talked to a really nice guy. I was told a *** would call me today, so when I had not been contacted by 3, I decided to call them back. I asked how much it would be to install it and the lady told me about $2000! Just under $700 for the install, which is way too much, but what really tweeked my cookies.... $1,250 FOR TRANSPORTATION AND OVERNIGHT LODGING for the tech, because we live in *******! We would be expected to pay for their wages, gas, etc both ways AND a hotel! I told her that was totally ridiculous and would figure it out myself!This lift is the difference between being able to keep my house. My husband is an 81 year old Vietnam Veteran facing a knee ***lacement. Our main floor has no bathroom, so he either stays upstairs without food or water, or has to fight his way up and down our stairs several times a day.
