Im 72 years old on SSI. On 7/3/2023 I dropped off my **** Dodge Dakota truck at Pearson Auto on ********** Hwy. My regular mechanic told me my transfer case was likely going bad because in 4x4 it makes a rattle sound. My regular mechanic does not work on transmission/ transfer cases so I took it to Pearsons & explained the problem. On the work order#***** notes I see they wrote I told them about the transfer case rattle however they also put on there I said my 4x4 lost working ************* never said that to them. I left the vehicle ************ will diagnose the problem and get back to me. When they got back to me the said the transfer case shift motor was bad & needed replaced & the transmission pan gasket was leaking so I gave the ok for the repair. (Please note: I did not receive a copy of the notes that were not correct when I dropped off the truck). At a later date they called & said my truck was fixed & I did not use 4x4 to drive it home. I parked it until 10/23/2023 until it snowed, When I drove from my house to the gas station for gas I used the ******** was still making the exact same noise. I immediately called Pearson & told them my truck 4x4 was not fixed ($2258.12) in repairs. They told me to bring it back or have it towed & if it was something related to their work they will re emburse me, I had it towed back to them. They called me back & said they didnt find any noise from the 4x4 I asked my son to go with me to test drive it before taking it. We arrived the mechanic **** came out & said he found no problems with my 4x4 then said the rattle Im hear is the Arctic Leash is what is making the noise. My ************** test drove ******* was still making the noise (was not Arctic Leash so truck stayed there.)Invoice#***** 10/30/23 says I approved $582.67 I did not approve. After draining front & rear ends they drained the transfer case & found metal shavings. Told me to sell truck. 2 days later harass me to get it or pay $40 a day for storage.
