On 4/17/24 I had my Coachman ********** in for repair and their service technician backed my RV into a mailbox and damaged it. For 1 1/2 months have been waiting for repairs to be completed and have not been able to use my RV.

    To whom it may concern,

We did damage the customers **.  One of our technicians backed the unit into a set of mailboxes. The roof ladder was bent and there is a small amount of body damage along the passenger side rear corner of the coach. We bought a replacement ladder and installed same.  We also made every attempt to arraign for the necessary body repairs.  Unfortunately, all of the body shops we contacted are several months out and no one could repair the unit immediately.  The owner found all of this unacceptable and picked up his unit. So far as we know, it is still unrepaired.

Two things here - First, the amount of body damage is very small and in no way restricts the owner's using of his **.  Second, we acknowledged that we did damage his unit and we are prepared to arraign for repairs. We are also prepared to pay for the necessary repairs should the owner decide to arraign for the work himself. We can only do what we can do. The local body shops are busy, and we cannot affect the repairs ourselves.

Things happen!  the technician made an honest mistake. We regret what has happened and we are prepared to make the ** right; but we can only affect sublet repairs as body shop scheduling allows.

    Sincerely

    Valley ** Management

I am rejecting this response because: While the business did say they would fix the damage they cause and I was open to that path, it did not occur in a timely or respectful manner. I informed them that I was selling this ** right after the planned repair and have now missed the prime window costing me thousands of dollars. I was not going to use the ** damaged and risk water ingress and further damage to the **. When I went to check on status after 2 weeks they did not want to fix the body damage before the ladder came in "so they didn't have to bring in the shop twice". Sorry you lose the "I can't be inconvenienced" when you are liable for damaging someone's property. I had informed them I needed by first week of June and was "assured" that would be no problem and I was overreacting. As expected the ladder came in and the body work had not been done, nor was it done by the first week of June that I was told wasn't going to be an issue. Additionally whenever calling and leaving a message they NEVER call back making me take time out of my day multiple times. Even the reply to the original complaint "accidents happen", yes they do but you should be pretty ashamed that you damaged someone's $70,000 ** and not be flippant about it.

    Sincerely,
