    I shower and do laundry year round at Soldotna Wash & Dry. Today I went in for showers, I asked if 3 showers were available and if the handicap shower in particular was available. They said "Yes, we're finishing cleaning the handicap shower and we have two others open." my husband and son went into the other two and I stood outside the handicap shower waiting. The lady finished cleaning and as I went to enter a lady who was clearly on drugs lunged between me and the shower cleaning lady and told her she was next. I said "I have that shower reserved and paid for" the lady yelled at me about having paid for the shower 3 hrs earlier. I was not polite in return because I don't treat rude people with respect. In the past I have been told, multiple times that you could not reserve a shower in advance and that if I had laundry to do first, I needed to check back in to make sure a shower was available before starting my shower. I expect customers, especially those who are tweaking to be rude, but staff should have stepped in, instead they made a slew of excuses. Needless to say, after 10 years of my family doing year-round shower and laundry use at the *********** we will be taking our business elsewhere. It's been a long time coming as the showers are typically a bit dirty, the wash machines often leave clothing sopping wet, and clothes come out of washers and dryers smelling like urine or fish in the summertime in spite of going in with neither of those smells on them, prices have gone up, but shower time and quality has gone down.
