Communication sucked. The foreman was hardly ever on the jobsite. NINE days went by with NOBODY at the property (& no call). 2-3 week build ended up closer to 7 weeks. Left the place completely trashed. Left behind multiple bags of trash, scrap metal & trim - which I had to spend 1/2 day cleaning up. Left behind zillions of dropped screws all over the property - no attempt to pick up
List of issues I had left in my lap FOR ME TO RESOLVE (with my own time and money):
Metal siding not completely ran up to the roofing metal, leaving gaps needing to be filled
Shoddy craftsmanship on framing the gables - leaving massive holes cut out of the metal exterior siding
Shoddy craftsmanship on framing the eaves - left unfinished and wide open for birds and other animals to nest in
Multiple scratches on the exterior metal siding (too many areas to count)
Shoddy craftsmanship on exterior trim work
Extremely shoddily cut exterior metal siding around almost all windows
Multiple heavy scratches on window trim
Metal siding not completely fastened down in some areas
Metal siding not completely ran down to the concrete in some areas
Both of the exterior doors that I purchased were scratched up, and the brickmold was damaged
Sliding glass door was installed upside down (I had to pay my window guy to come out and fix this error)
One bedroom window was/is still installed upside down (did not notice until after K&G completed the build and left the site)
Cracked / separated plastic on some brand new windows due to their install
2 new shop windows installed with broken plastic interior handles
One shop window installed with a torn screen - never replaced
Four of six new shop windows purchased from K&G leaked after install
Ridge cap left unfastened - K&G never came to fix, even after multiple conversations with Mandy
Posts supporting gable porch were left unsecured - just resting on top of the ground instead of anchored into the ground
Broken corner off of my concrete slab

Hi *****,Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with the project. Your concerns are important to us, and we take them seriously. I see that communication was a key issue for you, and while we exchanged over 50 emails, its clear that something got lost along the way. We will take this as a learning opportunity to ensure smoother communication in the ********** mentioned concerns about the crews performance, such as their punctuality and cleanliness. We havent worked with that crew in years, and I sincerely regret that you experienced this. Rest assured, we have made changes to avoid such issues, as our goal is to constantly improve.Regarding the weather, ******, ******* received 7.20 inches of rain during your project period, which was 3 inches above average. Unfortunately, they cannot install metal in the rain, which caused delays in your build. I understand the frustration, but we generally dont call to explain weather delays unless they extend for an unusual ********* for the concrete, the contractor you chose was independent of K&G, and based on the pictures, it appears the concrete wasnt cured properly, which is outside our scope of ****************** mentioned your doors being scratched. However, you didnt purchase doors from K&G Metalsthose came from another vendor. We supplied only six 3x3 windows, and there was a signed change order indicating we werent responsible for any leaks. Finally, while there were challenges in communication during the project, especially with you being out of town, we tried our best to facilitate smooth interactions. I know things could have been better, but we always strive to learn from these experiences and grow.Thank you again for your feedback. We value your business and take every comment as an opportunity to improve.Sincerely,Mandy K&G Metals
