I rented a storage unit over the phone with storage depot SOLEY because their website claims to have security features etc. I got there at 10pm and the place was NOTHING like the website showed/promised but because I already paid I was stuck. Unit 119 they gave me was in fact locked even though I was assured it wouldnt be. I called for an hour and nobody ever answered so I a Had no choice but to put my stuff in the closest available unit to 119 which was 106. I emailed storage depot telling them what I had to do and I also taped a note to both units explaining and asking them to call me if there is an is*** with it because I had to turn the Uhaul in by midnight. The next day I called and called and finally got to leave a voicemail. NEVER heard from them yet they could ti yes taking my money each month. On May 27th I went to my unit to get a laptop out and noticed my locks off. I opened it and EVERYTHING was gone! I called storage depot and the police and filed a claim which they had the nerve to deny claiming I put it in another unit and didnt tell them yet I tried but they dont have a office or mailbox and wouldnt answer my phone calls! So I sent 3 letter if I rent to *** to the locations and each one was returned claiming they have no mailbox/office!! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?? How can I send them legal papers and *** them without a valid mailing address so they can be served papers? The letter of intent is asking for $4000 by the 29th of July or I will file the lawsuit for breach of contract due to false advertising. Had they actually upheld any of the security features promised on their websiteNONE of this wouldve happened and Id still have all my stuff.now I have NOTHING!!! They are crooked and trying not to give me their address if whoever runs the property.
