Sent out a Technician because bubbles and water were coming from under the dishwasher. The tech educated me about soap, which was from previous home owner. I told him I feel the thing is leaking and he said there were no water leaks without even pulling out the dishwasher. For the last 6 months I noticed my floors were changing and a wet smell was coming from under my kitchen cabinets. I contacted Gleaning Hands and they said they dont always pull out dishwashers to check for leaks and that because its been 6 months since their service tech was out there that their insurance wouldnt cover it. That if I wasnt happy with the service tech I should have reported it to old Republic my home warranty service. And I said I dont always report attitudes. I told the technician it has to still be leaking, and he said it was NOT. I told the owner ******* ***** how am I supposed to know if its leaking if there arent big puddles of water or obvious signs. He said nothing just I understand. That I should have contacted **** sooner that I had 60 days warranty on their service. I told the owner, the damage thats been done has obviously occurred overtime and because it was a small leak its taken this long to rot the floors. There are waterlines and black mold on my cabinets and rotted floors which the dishwasher sat on. That the chronic leak if it had been pulled out to check could have been caught in time. Yet the owner still said it wasnt their fault they didnt pull out the dishwasher. Because my report was the water and soap at the front of the dishwasher. I told the technician that there had to be water coming from it from somewhere and he said there wasnt! Per the owner he said I should have known to have asked for another technician! Excuse me, your tech is the one who said it wasnt leaking in the first place! And Im supposed to trust that?!?! This company is NOT taking responsibility. They should have to repair damages

    Business Response

Mrs. **** contacted me on January 20th (same day she filed complaint) explaining the problem she was having, I explained to her exactly what she is stating in her complaint. I filed a claim with my insurance company and it is in the process now. As of this date February 3rd I do not have a status. Mrs. **** did not allow the process to go forward before filing a complaint with the BBB and the insurance company. I have done everything required of myself and the company to resolve this, thats why we pay for all the insurance.

I am rejecting this response because:  Owner said his insurance would not pay for it and NEVER said hed contact his liability insurance, which is the ONLY reason I contacted the BBB.  So there was no reason to wait for a response from business owner.

I have been contacted by the insurance company and am waiting for them to speak with a decided medical adjuster on their end as they recommended because of the black mold.

Im hopeful that they will take responsibility for the lack of care in my repair of my dishwasher but until I get a satisfactory response from them, my situation wont be resolved.

The water damage in my walls I couldnt afford to have someone find out inside what was damaged; therefore, the mold has made its way up into the caulk of my tile countertop where it meets the backsplash and is corroding it accordingly.

whereas, the 2nd appliance company that came out to assess the dishwasher stated it should have been replaced back in July instead of just addressing the client education of soap.  Because of the seals and questionable hairline cracks visible to the eye, in the shell and door.

So Im awaiting delivery of the dishwasher from Old Republic Home Warranty.

    Sincerely,
