  Our fourth attempt at repairing/retiling our front porch which had, due to the earlier shoddy workmanship, allowed water to leak into our home, appears to have been a success. The water had damaged our hardwood floors, joists and ceilings and walls and floors in the basement. All of the inside damage was slowly repaired but we could not get anyone able to retile the porch with a proper grade so that water would run away from the house. It does not appear to be rocket science, but it was beyond the capabilities of multiple contractors. We had tried to hire Better Life Renovations in January but they were swamped. We made the mistake of hiring two other contractors, one who **** miraculously refunded most of the money paid, per the **** guarantee, and another forgettable lunatic. Finally, the stars aligned properly and we were able to hire Better Life Renovations. The estimate was fair. Work began as soon as the rain stopped and the job is looking great. **** (the owner) and his hard workers even noticed a rotten wood problem, overlooked by the other yoyos, insulated it properly and replaced said rotten wood for, again, a fair price. My wife and I are having to make a decision regarding replacement of the iron railing for the porch and stairs after ill-fitting wood screws and ELECTRICAL TAPE were found to be the structural supports when the railing was recently removed by BLR, to allow the tile to be replaced. We are not finished yet, but we are ecstatic with finally hiring a professional, honest and fair contractor after multiple misses.

  While remodeling a bathroom ******* spent hours with us picking out tiles, flooring, cabinets and worked diligently and patiently as I could not decide . He even suggested that the cabinets I already have would look fine with new countertop and fixtures which made me realize he is a young man of integrity not trying to take advantage of the situation. He has a passion for disadvantaged children and has started a charity to give them opportunities to have some fun and enjoy time with other children. I appreciate his compassion and love for people and his renovation jobs are perfect.

  Fantastic service and communication from Josh L. at Better Life Renovations! His team did a great job building a huge deck in my backyard. Could not recommend highly enough.
