Since I signed up with ECP in Dec 2021, there have been 2 price increases, a significant decline in customer service and a new extortion attempt to force users in to using ECP's parent company (*********) as their CC processor...to the tune of a $150-$200/mo extra penalty!! Their business practices are terribly unethical and not in the best interest of the doctors. Users are being forced to send statements from our current CC processor and ********* with either try to match or beat our current rate. If they cannot match or beat our current rate, we will be exempt from the extra $150-$200/month penalty. However, they "magically" beat all rates and then increase the processing fees of ********* over time.
I have called/emailed ECP but they won't provide their current CC processing rates nor how low they will go to beat or match our current processor's rate or how long the exemption would last! It appears it's all an effort to force everyone onto their CC processing platform for their profit, to stifle competition and to take away our freedom to choose what's best for our business. Their "out" is that we have the right to refuse using *********, but the huge $150-$200/month penalty makes it obvious that they're trying to force the transition. The bottom line is that the use of their software/EHR has absolutely nothing to do with which CC processor I choose for my practice.
This company forcing me into either switching EHRs or CC processing companies is disrupting to my business and solely for their profit. While they claim it's to help streamline our business, this isn't the case for everypractice. If they truly wanted to offer help, it would be an option, NOT a forced conversion.
My goal in posting is to warn other ODs that you are signing up with a shady, greedy CC processing company, not just an EHR company. They use strong-armed tactics with poor, vague communication and are simply deceptive in how they deal with ODs. Choose a different EHR vendor
