    The date work started was 8/17/22 and is not completed as of 8/29/22 @7:25PM. I received a price of *****. to refinish the living room, hall and 3 bedrooms of our recently purchased home. This price was to cover sanding, staining, sealing with 2 coats and new trim stained to match the floor. The final sealing coat was to be done on 8/21. We met at the house on 8/22 and was told I could walk through in each room to check it out. I questioned if it would be dried enough to walk on and reminded him he told me it would be 2 days after the sealer was put on before we could walk on it. He assured me it was ok. I asked if he was finished, he said he had to put the trim down and that would be done the next morning. I was not going to be able to meet with him so I paid him cash (per his request) for the full amount owed. I went back on 8/24 and the trim was not installed. I called and texted with no response. I contacted the company that recommended him and they called him on my behalf. He texted that he would be there on Friday, 8/26. On Friday he texted changing the time to 1:30. He never showed up. I have texted and called and he will not respond. I need to get moved asap as we are selling our current home and I don't want to have to move my furniture around once I get moved in risking scratching the newly finished floors. I need this finished at once or he can refund the money it cost to hire someone else to finish his work.
