    **** online does NOT allow return of defective parts through their part stores. EVEN if said part store is a distribution center. For context I purchased an alternator from napa using ************** Part came directly to my house and I installed the part. After installing the part i detected that the alternator did not charge my battery. I called my local napa store to see if they could return my part but i was informed that they could not and that i would have to take my part to the distribution center. Although this made NO SENSE at the time i proceeded to just go to the distribution center. When I arrived at the distrubtuion center i was told i MUST take a number. (welcome to the *** i guess) before i could be helped. I was later informed by the ***** store manager at the distribution center that the previous store couldn't handle the return but this store would be glad to help. This proved to be untrue. **** in its Genuine Parts Company, in its glorious wisdom will only allow you to return a part by sending it back to them via **** This means that I had to buy another alternator from that distribution center and then wait for an approval to get a refund. Which i'm still waiting for. They also tried to say that because i installed it that they wouldn't take it until i proved that it was bad. THIS fell short because i had the Asst. ***** manager state on the phone that he had tested it himself and the alternator was defective. NEVER get parts delivered to your house!!! H*** NEVER use NAPA!!
