?I am sending my bank statement showing where I took three thousand dollars out of my account to add to the five hundred cash I already had to purchase the car. Total of $3500. Pd. for the car.Vin# ***************** 2005 Infiniti G35. (Blue)Purchased from: *********************************** Phone:************ Address: ****************************************************************************** Company that has car: Hurst Towing ***************************************************************************** Phone: ************ Contact: ******************* Auction Contact: ******************* BK auction They supposedly purchased the car from towing company. Both Title and Bill of Sale are in the car. About $1500 Of merchandise in the car. I purchased a car for a young friend, *************************. I pd $3500 for the car. ****** was picked up from his job sight and put in jail. The job sight had Hurst tow it. I visited once and called on several occasions. I was told over and over that ****** would need to be the one to pick up the car.I spoke with a female on 11/24. I ask her if we would still be able to still get the car out for the promised $600 when ****** got out of jail. She said she would check and call me back. She called me back shortly after and said that the $600 would get the car out as soon as ****** got out of jail and came in with his ID. I could not do it because it was his name on the title and bill of sale. I told her it would be after the first of the year. I was told that was not a problem. As soon as ****** got out the first part of January and went in with his ID, he was told that the car had been auctioned off. We had several conversations with ***********. He said he would work to get the car back from the person that had purchased it, seeing how it was still on the lot of the towing company. When we talked to him last week, we were told that we could not get the car and he would have never said that he would hold it. Neither us or the seller got notification that the car was going to auction. Would like to recover the money for the car and merchandise.

      Business Response

      Date: 04/17/2024

This car was impounded because the driver/ supposedly owner was arrested by the Federal Marshalls on 11-13-23. I spoke to *************** who told us was the owner of the car and he advised he was in jail but his friend, ************* would come get the car. I spoke to ************* multiple times but he never showed up with proper paperwork to get car released, I advised him I would cut the bill down to $600 but never said I would wait until *************** got out of jail, like I explained to him, nobody knew when *************** would get out of jail since the ** Marshalls arrested him. We then proceeded to notify the registered owners to sale the car under ******* State Law,, which to our suprise was not *************** or ************* it was registered to a ******************************* who called and advised us he had sold the car in July of 2023 to a ***** & ***** ********************** who never had the car registered in their name either, so by alabama law Mr and Mrs ********************** never registered the car in their name so legally they could not sell it. I have also talked to an attorney that ************* hired and have explained it to him also. Im attaching the notes from the invoice here also. In explaining all this, the only person with legal rights to the car was *******************, who did not want the car back, So we sold the car per ******* Unclaimed/Anandonded Vehicle Law
