********* ******-***** ************************************************************************ ************************** ************ June 8, 2025 Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to formally file a complaint against AOD Federal Credit Union regarding the unauthorized closure of my accounts and the subsequent loss of my funds. I had maintained both a savings and checking account with ********************** for several years, but due to no activity over the past few years, I was informed that my accounts had been closed, and all my deposited money had been transferred to the credit union. On May 2025, I attempted to deposit money into my accounts, only to be informed by the staff that my accounts were closed and that I had lost all my funds due to inactivity. This is absolutely unacceptable, as I was never given any prior notice regarding the closure of my accounts, nor was I informed of AOD Federal Credit Union's policies on account inactivity.I have reached out to AOD Federal Credit Union multiple times to seek clarification and resolution on this matter. I have spoken with representatives who assured me that a manager would return my call, but to date, no one has contacted me. This lack of communication and accountability further emphasizes the unfair treatment I have received as a consumer.I would like to inquire whether the Federal ***************************** (****) protects my funds from situations like this. It is deeply concerning that a financial institution can take such drastic actions without proper communication or notification, ultimately jeopardizing their customers' financial security.I humbly request that the Better Business Bureau investigate this matter to ensure that AOD Federal Credit Union adheres to ethical banking practices and treats its customers fairly. I hope for a prompt resolution to regain access to my lost funds and to be informed of the rights I have as a consumer in this unfortunate situation.Thank you for your attention.
