On the night of August 27th, 2022, our neighbors tree fell on our back porch. The neighbor gave us a business card for Deep South Tree Services with an employees direct number on it, so we called the number provided to have them come out and give us an estimate the next morning (Sunday). He came out and quoted us $1300 for removal and haul of the debris and said he could have a crew out that day, so we said absolutely yes please do! He started working that day and finished by Tuesday, i believe. It has been 6 weeks and the tree was removed but never hauled off. We contacted both the employee and the company several times without receiving a response. Finally on 10/16 I texted and emailed the owner again because I was very upset that I had not been contacted or received any updates and the tree is still on my lawn. It was 10/16 that the owner very rudely responded back to me saying that we never did business with the company and he wanted me to pay AGAIN to have the truck come out to pick up the debris. I have a paid invoice with the company name on it and he refused to acknowledge any of this stating that the employee did this job without his knowledge and that we paid the employee directly but there was/is absolutely no way for us to have known any of this. We are already dealing with so much because of this incident and his rudeness was unnecessary. It seems like we were scammed out of our money and even though I have a receipt with the company name, he will not come remove the pile. I would either like my $500 back for the haul I already paid or I would like for them to remove the pile as stated on my invoice.
