    I contacted Mr. Plumber to come out to repair / replace a *** pipe with a hose spigot attached. They sent 2 technicians. The City of *********** had turned the water off prior to the technicians arriving. They cut the *** straight, installed a metal connection, with another piece of pipe, attached a new metal spigot to my porch rail. This was all done in less than 30 minutes. I had *** pipe to use, my water hose metal spigot was intact, all they would have needed was to install a connection *** and use the materials I had instead of the jacked up install with the $30 parts they used. I was charged $125 for parts and $175 for labor. I understand cost plus on parts but over a 80% mark up? I asked for an itemized bill. Repaired broken 1" pvc hose **** at front porch. Replace with a 1/2 pex & new hose ****. I have contacted two plumbers. One said I needed to file a complaint due to overcharge and that they didn't list paying tax on the parts on the itemized billing. The other said never use them again if they are charging $175 for less than an hours' worth of work. I have pictures of the before & after. I will need to purchase a cover for the pex in winter because now it is above ground and will be affected by low temperatures much more than before. The home warranty company stated they would only cover $75.00 for one hour service and $25.00 in parts. The home warranty company said it seems like price gouging and should be reported. 0
