    My husband and I hired Smith's Affordable Concrete to redo our driveway, put in a porch slab, add a sidewalk and retainer wall. We sat down and discussed everything, he quoted us a price and we agreed with a handshake! He said we owe half down now and once all the work is completed that we would owe him the other half. He and his crew started work in Jan. 2024 but once it came time to lay the concrete, he was asking for concrete money coming from the balance!!! which we felt very uncomfortable about since that is not what we had talked about!! So once the concrete is laid, we paid him the rest of the money because he came to collect, we talked about the touchup work that he still needs to finish which includes backfilling the drainage area with rocks, adding pc pipe to drainage behind the retainer wall so that the rainwater flows to the back of the property which he put in for us!! He also said that he would be back to fix the cuts in the concrete some of the cuts in the retainer wall wasn't done right! As we waited for him to return making call after call with him saying he would get by here but never show. It started raining...... and NOW WE HAVE FLOODING under our carport!!! every time it rains there is a huge belly of water. So, when we get out of our car we are walking through water! We Had a hard rain the other day and now the water is coming into our house!! This is supposed to be a happy time for us be it's been nothing but worry and disappointment!! My husband reached out to *** Smith once more by phone said he would be here but of course another NO SHOW!! It's now Aug 2024 still nothing!! Be aware of this DISHONEST company!!
