    I purchased a boat new from Sunrise Marine in ******, Alabama on 09/19/2018. On 02/10/2020, the boat manufacturer, World Cat, issued a service bulletin to address a safety issue related to the way the leaning post assembly on the boat was constructed. I stopped using the boat as instructed by the service bulletin and took it to Sunrise Marine for repairs. Sunrise Marine returned the boat to me after stating that repairs were completed. They provided an invoice attesting to these repairs and billed World Cat for the repairs. On 08/02/2023, I experienced problems with the leaning post while operating my boat. These problems resulted in damage to the leaning post near the area where the service bulletin identified an issue. Upon contacting World Cat and inspecting the leaning post of my boat, I learned that Sunrise Marine had not performed the necessary work to resolve the safety concern that had led to the issuance of the service bulletin in 2020. I would like to seek damages from Sunrise Marine for failing to perform the repairs described in the service bulletin. I allege that the failure to perform these repairs is directly responsible for the property damage to my boat and for jeopardizing the safety of my guests and myself while using my boat. Furthermore, I would like to ensure that all other owners of the same model boat who have had their boats repaired by Sunrise Marine did actually receive the necessary repairs to prevent property damage or injuries to them and their guests.Note that I have extensive documentation related to this incident. I am not attaching it at this time though as the business appears to have a history of not responding to complaints. This information is available on request.

    My husband and I purchased a $70,000 brand new Robolo boat from Sunrise Marine in hopes of enjoying the gulf together. ** being new to boating took the boat out and had a minor accident. Before traveling back home to ****** **, I suggested we leave the boat at Sunrise for the repairs. We spoke with the service tech and was assured hed have the boat back in tip top shape like new in no time. The insurance adjuster came and approved the repairs. Lo and behold its been over 2 months later and our boat has yet to be repaired. Each time we call we get a different excuse. The service tech that promised us the repairs and a full detail upon pick up, is no longer employed there. There has been a huge turnover since our purchase, because neither is the guy that sold us the boat. We have been getting the run around and we really dont know what to do at this point. Weve come too far to start over, because the insurance claim is now in process. The staff refuses to budge on making any additional price adjustments and still cant give us a definite answer on when to expect our boat. The fishing season is now over, so well have to wait until Spring now to go out. Were basically paying hundreds of dollars monthly for a boat we cant even use. This has been one of the worse decisions of our life. We love our boat, but the companys customer service is awful and totally unacceptable.
