***** was extremely unprofessional throughout the entire renovation process. He told us it would take a week, it took two months. He told us it would cost one thing, he charged another with excuse after excuse. He was always late, never communicated, and never fixed any of the issues I pointed out. I ended up fixing most of the things I paid him for which is insane to me. The last straw has been that he suggested putting in these shelves which I agreed to. He never coordinated with me on how the shelves would be installed or what material they would be he just went for it. He cut massive slots in my walls to install these shoddy shelves that look like c*** He took two months to make 5 of 6 of them and then just continually failed and ran out of material and gave up. Considering I don't know how to source the exact material I need him to at least give me the same material stock so I can finish myself but he cannot even give me that. I have given this man every ounce of ***** I know how but I cannot anymore. I either need him to finish or I am going to have to scrap everything he's done, however bad, and start completely over. I feel completely screwed over. There is so much more I could say but ultimately I just don't feel like Kaleb should be allowed to operate like this. Everything he did I could do better and I've never done any of it. Why am I spending thousands on this junk.Customer Answer

Hi, I am responding in regards to complaint! The customer was very happy with all the work . I have messages. When this all went down hill was all to do with one shelf that was left that I was having to wait on to come in from over seas that could not be bought around here and the tariffs put a halt on this so I took longer than expected to receive the Plywood. When it got closer to the end of the job being completed, the customer started ******* warning to hurry up and have it completed so they could have their house back in order which I completely understand but one thing for sure you cannot rush perfection but besides that I was under the impression Customer was really satisfied with the work! All this is pretty new to me wasnt aware that the customer was not happy with the work. I know the customer was getting upset about having the last shelf. I also made the customer very aware of. I was still waiting to receive the wood to complete the shelf and let him know as soon as I got it I would bring it. As of June 11, 2025, the shelf was delivered to his house! The original job was closing in the backside of the fireplace and drywall in it as we were there working the customer kept adding a variety of different work that I believe we handled in a timely and professional way And was thanked and told how much we was appreciated for the good quality work we was doing the whole time So all this is shocking to hear and seems that all this inspired over having to wait on a piece of plywood that was not in small time repairs control. We went over and beyond for this customer as we do for a customer as we also make sure the customer satisfied and happy with the work the whole way through the process and the customer never Once brought it to our attention, he was not happy with something. As we Were in the stages of some of the work. The customer knows I stay transparent with him even calling him throughout the day making sure he wanted something a certain way before we would do it.Customer Answer

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********. I went ahead and redid the job I paid for as it wasn't satisfied with what was done and didn't have the appropriate material. I'll just drop it because I don't want to waste anymore of my time on this.
Sincerely,

We contacted Small Time Repair to inquire about extensive repairs to our home due too storm damage. After a detailed verbal and written agreement and then a contract, Small Time Repair started work on our home. Once work was finished (according to Small time repair) they demanded payment. I raised several issues and concerns with them. - work not completed - work not done correctly - charges for labor and materials not used - Small Time Repair also refused to provide license information. - they performed unapproved plumbing work, that was left leaking and causing damage. -significant leak in roof after repair.- electrical work in attic was not professional and is a safety concern.- Left sizable mess outside home Small Time Repair than became very unprofessional with communication and unwillingness to listen to any concerns or provide any means to rectify the situation.Business Response

We provided everything the insurance company required in order to proceed with the work prior before any work started.
We have proof and witnesses that we did not touch any plumbing. The home owner was aware that we did not do plumbing. The Home owner done his own plumbing! We even had to come to a standstill until home owner cut the plumbing and cap it off in order for us to proceed with work !
we have all documentation and proof everything on our contract was completed ! We even went the extra mile to clean up and burn all debris for homeowner when he stated they would get a tractor and clean it all up !we have photos of everything operating properly on day of completion!
The only things that was not finished was what the home owner was responsible for!
we bought materials out of our pocket and have not been reimbursed for and labor for the job! He is trying to scam us out of a lot of money making false claims on things we did not do that the home owner done and trying to make it out to be our company so he doesn’t have to pay ! We are in the middle of getting this client taken to court ! He will not respond to any of our calls or emails . We have proof of everything if it is need ! Please let me know if you guys need any documentation or contracts .Thanks!

I followed the required steps and process set forth by the mortgage company to terminate the contract. Mailed two certified letters 10 days apart from each other. Then gave adequate time for a response. When no response was recieved by small time repair, the mortgage company than excepted the termination of contract and released remaining funds to solely myself. I then in turn used the funds towards finishing work that was not completed, redoing work that was done incorrectly leading to water damage and mold growth inside and under the house, and purchasing remaining materials needed to finish said work.
I had removed exsiting shower, cut and capped waterlines. Existing toilet was to remain in place. This was clearly made known to Small time repair. Small Time repair cut drain pipe and waterline and remove toilet anyway. Waterline was not capped correctly and left leaking under the house. This caused standing water and mold growth in crawlspace.
Roof was also not properly sealed around vent pipe allowing water to run down inside wall. I brought this to Small time repairs attention more than once, yet nothing was done. This allowed water to pool inside wall causing damage to flooring and drywall in bathroom as well as adjacent second bathroom, Also allowing mold to grow.
Rain gutters were not installed properly. They are bent and leaking at the seams.
Insulation in attic above both bedrooms was not completely replaced or installed. The little Insulation that was installed was torn, degraged, and had mold from water damage due to storm that originally caused damaged.
Electrical done in attic was poorly connected and left exposed in attic.
75 percent of flooring left was already used, cut, and damaged.
As far as responding to Small time repair. I had constant communication up until the slander, idle threats, intimidation tactics started. I then was very clear I would no longer respond to the childish games they're trying to play.
My only desired outcome from this complaint is for the communication and harassment to cease immediately, and to possibly help prevent this situation from happening to someone else.

BBB would like a list of the items that need completing. It appears from emails threads between you and Small Time Repairs, they offered to come back and re-do work you were not satisfied with. Why did you not allow this.

Our Contract Was Completed on January 10,2024, payment due Jan 15, again none of this information is correct . We never did any of this work wrong, Between December- January 2023-2024 the weather was terrible and if the "ISSUES" he has claimed should have been see then due to the amount of rain and snow, we checked the roof proper to all the snow coming and we set up a tester to show that there was no water leak, Did not state this while we were there at any point, in fact Kaleb would have never left any ends untied.
For one a Toilet drain and water lines to the toilet left unharmed, no cuts to a water line, just twisted the value off. didn't need to cut that to simply turn water off, we have witness that Kaleb clearly told Mr. Fredrick on November 12, 2024, that he would have to remove all plumbing that he was going to have to do anything related to plumbing we do not offer any plumbing work! Also, we have pictures of every step of the job. This being another false statement. His "Drain line" cut to the toilet isn't possible, we don't cut the sewer lines, no work was order on the sewer line, and we were there to fix walls and etc..... The leak on the roof is a first and my photos show gutters brand new and completed nothing used was old everything was brand new, per our sales receipts will prove another false statement, and we have photos of burning all the left debris and more video of the entire roof being repaired and approved by the inspector and 3 other team members.
We did a final walk through and finished up his to-do list and let him know and a walk through was completed nothing was said to be issue. we also have the messages SMS that state "once I lay this flooring and get it done over the weekend, I'll have the inspector get this done on MONDAY JAN 15, 2024, so you guys get your money, we thank you for all you did for us!" that's the last real messages, which was saved and printed into his file.
He did try to send a letter on 02/10/2024 but it was him trying to manipulate us and we responded via email Feb 12,15,16,17,19,20,23 while, also Mrs. Cole and Mrs. Judy was copied and can prove that his statement of NO RESPONSE is simple false, 02/12/24 we mailed with tracking number as well with a denial and we sent completion of contract by email and mail with final invoice on Jan 12,2024. He has a copy of complete contract and we do as well, we also forward all emails to whom it may concern involved, false claims to commit fraud is what we take of this We actually legal mailed tracking on Feb 12, 2024 as well as emailed and have the paper trail, proof you claimed you closed a completed job agreement with false Narrative and collected small time repairs owed funds because we didn't response isn't True! He has false claimed statements that small time repairs Did or did not do in order to collect the remaining balance owed to small time repairs!
This Matter is Legal Matter, and we can no long respond until our day in court.
Have a blessed and great day.
Thanks
