      My septic system backed up om 2/27/25. Rotor Rooter came out to help me resolve the problem. The service tech was here approximately 4 hours. He had trouble finding my line. He said he rooted beyond my property line and it may be a city problem. I called the city, they came out and showed him the lines. Apparently, we have shared sewer lines in this neighborhood. So the tech explains that I would need to talk to my neighbors to install a clean out in their yard and share the expense. He said he would send me a quote for the clean out, charged me $588 and said he would come back the next day to mark the yard for the clean out. He also left my access port open with raw sewage in my yard. The problem was not resolved but it safe to use the toilet. I went to use my toilet, when I flushed it cracked open. It was not damaged before. I believe the service tech rooted up to the toilet. He has not returned.On 3/1/2025, i called requesting the quote and finally got it. Meanwhile, my neighbors came by to see if I was having problems and they had the clogged removed from the clean out across the street. Question/concerns 1. Why did the Rotor Rooter tech not find the designated clean out when the city showed him how the lines run?2. The tech left the access port open and stated that he would be back Friday the 28th and never showed.3. I called and voiced my concerns. We scheduled a service call for 3/7/2025. No show and no call.Resolution I was charged for bad service, my toilet is broken/unusable and my sewer port is open. I would like a refund, my toilet fixed and my port closed. Every drain in my house smell like sewer.
